I like nationalism. I like MY country. I like MY language. I like MY culture. I like MY faith. I wouldn’t mind visiting another’s country…taste their cuisine, learn of their ways of life. But, that doesn’t mean I want to adopt it or have it forced on me. You do your thing over there and I’ll do my thing over here. I’ll visit and say “Hello” and share a drink or something. Then, I’m going home. If I want to learn a new language, I’ll do so of my own accord. If I want to try to cook a dish that’s not chiefly considered to be American, I’ll decide to do so. Multiculturalism and transnationalism is nothing more than an elitist’s attempt to make all of us beige and poor. And, I’ve got news for all of you who think that Christians (or Jews, for that matter) and Muslims can live, side-by-side, in peace. It ain’t gonna happen. All Muslims want to do is kill or enslave everyone that isn’t a Muslim (infidel). Christians have been guilty of warring, too, of course. The Crusades were just as bloody as what Muslim extremists are doing now…the difference being, Christians, as a whole, don’t kill because of resistance to conversion so much as they seek to acquire wealth, power and territory. Ditto, the Jews. When was the last time you heard of a Jew killing someone because they wouldn’t convert? Jews tend to lean in the other direction. They are pretty suspicious and picky about who converts to their religion.

Unless a country is horribly repressive…oppressive…suppressive (choose which ever adjective you want), most people love their own culture and prefer it over anyone else’s. This is human nature…to be with like-minded individuals. America may have started out as a melting pot but, she developed her own culture, becoming a sum greater than her own parts. We are unique in that category.

Forgive and Forget, Hell!

I remember exactly where I was when the twin towers were hit. My ex and I were stationed in Norfolk and he was assigned to Camp Elmore. I was at home, busy, looking for a job right in the middle of the 2001 recession (thank you Clinton). He came in and said that some idiot had crashed a plane into one the the World Trade Center towers. I stopped working on my computer and went into our den to turn on the television. Just about the time I sat down to watch Fox News, the second plane hit the second tower. I was in tears. I could not believe what I was watching. Shortly after that, a report came in that the Pentagon had been hit. My ex had just stepped into the kitchen to get something to drink. He stopped dead in his tracks as the report was being announced, did an about-face, looked at me with fear and anger in his eyes, and said “I gotta go.” He rushed out of the house and headed back to the base. Norfolk Naval Base was locked down (FPCON DELTA) and I spent the rest of the afternoon staring at the television. The only joy I got from the day was finding out that the passengers on Flight 93 refused to let the hijackers win.

Our country hasn’t been the same since. The images of the people jumping to their deaths, thinking in a panicked state that that end to their lives was somehow easier than burning to death, is forever etched in my memory. I can’t even begin to imagine what making a choice like that must feel like. The sheer terror, the helplessness… The families that were left with the knowledge of how their loved ones died.

Then there’s the first responders. These are the folks that are running into a burning building to help while everyone else is trying to get out. They died trying to assist those in need. The ones that survived the tragedy are now sick from the toxins that were released when the buildings burned and fell. This is just a never-ending nightmare.

No. I can’t forget. And, no, I will never forgive. There is a special place in Hell for the people responsible for this. Even though Bin Laden is dead, our nation still weeps for her lost souls.

God bless the U.S.A.

I haven’t posted in 8 1/2 months. I’ve been busy. And, boy, have I learned a lot.

Chase Orders Bank Branch To Remove Christmas Tree

Southlake, TX ~ Chase Bank told a businessman to remove the Christmas tree he donated to a local branch because it could offend people.

I will NEVER bank with Chase. Technically, I SHOULD own shares of the company after they got taxpayer bailout money. This is one of those multi-national corporations that is raping the U.S. They participated in the biggest transfer of wealth (stolen, actually) in American history. If you can’t afford to feed your family and pay your bills, you can thank them and their greedy ilk. And, then, they turn around and don’t like your Christmas traditions.

Web Censorship Bill Sails Through Senate Committee

I picked this up off the Drudge Report from November 19. Sam Gustin blogs on November 18 on Wired.

On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously approved a bill that would give the Attorney General the right to shut down websites with a court order if copyright infringement is deemed “central to the activity” of the site — regardless if the website has actually committed a crime.

“The Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act (COICA) is among the most draconian laws ever considered to combat digital piracy and contains what some have called the “nuclear option,” which would essentially allow the Attorney General to turn suspected websites “off.””

This is it, folks. This will destroy the Internet. They have crafted a censorship bill in the form of an “Intellectual Property Rights” stance. It seems to me that, if you grab something off the Internet to use, say, in a blog like this, if you give the owner credit, what is the big deal? I understand that there are many, many people who snatch stuff and never credit the owner. They should be dealt with. But, passing along information is hardly a crime. People on Twitter do it all the time. People write books everyday, use someone else’s material or thoughts and list their references in bibliographies. I grab pictures and data all the time. I also link everything back to the owner. It’s called FREE ADVERTISING. I’m doing them a favor.

The IRS Is Coming For You ~ Updated 10-13-2010

I opened up my mail on this fine Sunday morning only to be shocked by the notice of an impending IRS audit. I’m getting audited? Well, correction, my ex-husband and I are getting audited. He’s unemployed and I make less than $50,000 a year. This is a witch hunt and it’s coming to a city near you. Obama’s ridiculous pledge that no one making less than $250,000 would see their taxes go up is merely a diversion. First of all, that’s a flat out lie and second of all, he’s attempting to lull regular working folks, like myself, into a false sense of security while hiring more and more new IRS agents to hunt down everyone.

We are being targeted because (1) my ex-husband attempted to start an insurance business (that went nowhere) and (2) because we have managed to hold onto our home (no foreclosure). They actually think we are hiding money somewhere, when the truth of the matter is, we are in hock up to our asses.

I’m posting this as a warning. If they can come after two people trying to survive on less than $50,000 a year, they will come after everyone. Remember, all of the illegal aliens are depending upon you and I to pay for their newly acquired American perks…health care, free education, welfare and tax credits.

UPDATE:
As it turns out, we weren’t targeted for actual money (we have none, despite the fact that we have held onto our house). However, that being expressed, all those brand new IRS agents that Obama hired need to be trained. According to our CPA, anyone and everyone that filed a Schedule C in 2008 is getting hit, either now or later. It doesn’t matter if you owe $12 dollars or $12,000, they are digging in everyone’s pockets, training their new Obamatons. Second warning.
